Earlier this afternoon, Governor Tom Wolf vetoed HB 2388 (Rep.

Mihalek-R-Allegheny County) which would have provided all messengers and agents with a blanket industry waiver from the DCED Business Closure Order of March 19, 2020. We have not read his veto message related to the bill yet. I will confer with the PAOLMA Board soon in order to consider our next steps regarding this issue.

Thank you for the support and effort you expended in order to get this legislation enacted. Your contact with members and staff of the General Assembly was pivotal in having the bill pass both the Senate and House. It is unfortunate that Governor Wolf could not support the opening of your businesses at this time.
